Portsmouth to Santander ferry information

There are three ferries from Portsmouth to Santander each week. The crossing takes approximately 24 hours and leaves on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday morning. Portsmouth to Santander ferry timetable

The route is operated by Brittany Ferries with their luxurious ships Pont-Aven and Cap Finistère.

Pont-Aven Portsmouth to Santander FerryThe Pont-Aven is a £100 million ferry built in 2004. It weighs 41,000 tonnes and spans 185 metres in length. It was built to carry 650 cars and around 2400 passengers. The Pont-Aven boasts extensive facilities to ensure your Portsmouth to Santander ferry crossing is as enjoyable as possible.

There are two cinemas on board, a children's play room, wi-fi access, video games room, swimming pool and leisure area and a Bureau de change. The five decks offer superb panoramic views whilst inside you will find regular live music and entertainment. The wide selection of food outlets includes the main restaurant Le Flora, plus La Belle Angele which offers a self service option and Le Café du Festival which serves a snack menu. The three bars are Le Grand Pavois, Le Fastnet piano and cocktail bar and Les Finisteres pool bar. The newest addition to the Portsmouth to Santander fleet is the Cap Finistère, which was launched in 2010. It weights 32,728 tonnes and measures over 203 metres in length. It can carry 790 passengers and 60 freight. The on-board facilities include a sun deck with covered veranda, swimming pool, cinemas, information desk, bars, restaurant and shops. There are various cabin options available including 2 berth deluxe, 2 berth and 4 berth. Cabins are also available that have been adapted for the disabled.

Portsmouth Ferry Terminal

Portsmouth ferry terminal is located close to the M27 motorway. The M27 can be accessed from most parts of England via the M25 and the M3 motorways. The port offers Baby changing room, Bar, Cafeteria, Bureau de change, Disabled Services, Left Luggage, Lost Property, Shop, Telephones, Truck Driver's Facilities and Parking facilities.

The nearest railways stations are called 'Portsmouth and Southsea' and 'Portsmouth The Hard Interchange.' Buses and taxi's are then available for the short journey to the port.

A direct Coach service operates from Portsmouth port to Heathrow airport, Gatwick airport and London Victoria Coach Terminal.
